Panic Attacks 101

During the early 1900s, panic attacks were virtually unheard of. It's either folks who experience it don't stand up and those that did were often denigrated and called crazy. Actually, the medical community back then considered panic episodes as an imaginary condition.

But today, we all know better. Science has fully recognized this condition and plenty of studies are devoted to completely understand it and how it can be cured.

Panic episode is a condition where a person experiences intense fear. This fear is created by many alternative and unique factors. Each person has an alternative reason for having these attacks.

Now, panic episodes occur in a comparatively brief time- often about 10 minutes. And it is not something you always have- therefore, the term "attacks" since it really occurs intermittently.

Many individuals characterize having a panic episode as the "the most intensely terrifying, annoying and unpleasant experiences of a person's life and may take days to initially recover from."

Panic episodes can also develop from a condition to a syndrome. This is known as panic disorder. This is when panic episodes are repeatedly and frequently taking place and this would call for an official diagnosis from a doctor.

Causes of Panic Fits
